Glucosamine Sulfate

Question:
Witrh some beginning signs of arthritis I started to take Glucosamine
Sulfate. It does seems to have helped. However. there's this one rather nasty side effect (or so it seems.) Always gassy anyway, I am now producing much more of what seems to be hydrogen sulfate.
Is this a common side effect of people taking Glucosamine SUlfate, and if so is there any preventative measure?

Answer:
I've been taking Osteo Bi-Flex (a combination of Glucosamine and chondroiton) for several years now and have never had any side effects.
And it certainly did help my thumbs when I started taking it. I have since had to have surgery on one thumb but the other one is still holding its own.
